It’s the ‘life of a girl’
Not a Phone call
It’s not about ringing and talking
But it’s beyond imagining
People may think her as a ‘toy’
But she is ‘full of happiness and joy’
The birth of a girl child is not a sad moment
But should be celebrated and shared as an event
She ‘has emotions and feelings within herself’
But she goes against her emotions for someone ‘else’
She is not a “THING TO BE CARED FOR”
But is “A LIFE TO BE RESPECTED FOREVER”.
There is a miracle called friendship
That dwells within the heart,
And you don’t know how it happens,
Or when it gets its start.
But happiness it brings you,
Always gives a special lift,
And you realize that friendship,
Is life’s most precious gift.
It is a priceless gift,
It can’t be bought or sold.
But its values are far greater,
Than mountains made of gold.
For gold is cold and lifeless,
It can neither see nor hear.
And in time of trouble,
It is powerless to cheer.
It has no ears to listen,
Nor heart to understand.
It can’t bring you comfort,
Or reach out a helping hand.
So when you ask god for a gift,
Be thankful if he sends….
Not diamonds, pearls or riches,
But the love of real true friends.
Friendship is a budding rose,
With the sweetness rising from each fold.
The stem of courage, hope and care,
Are precious gifts of love so rare.
Amid the thorns are moments of dear
And true friendship lends a caring ears.
A smile, a laugh and a friendly thought,
Are roots that tie the friendship knot.
Take time to smell the friendship rose,
That grows along the friendship road.
Where friendship blossoms never fade,
And seedlings sown are now friends made.
Oh! What joy it is to have a friend like you,
For giving me strength the way you do.
For lifting me up when I’m feeling down;
And putting a smile on my face,
When I am wearing a frown.
Thank you for being there and helping me grow,
Your friendship means a lot,

The entity who I am perpetually in awe of, is none other than the living legend, Roger Federer. Now, I am a huge fan of tennis and play it as well, but I don’t wish to take up tennis as a profession. I have always been striving to become a scientist.At this point, many people would be quite confused, for it seems highly improbable that a young and aspiring scientist would look to a sports player for inspiration. But Federer, is truly different from everyone else.
His approach to the game is highly commendable. Over the last decade and a half, he has spent countless hours in the gym, and on the tennis court pushing himself to get better and better. Not only that, he is a stupendous strategist as well! It can be seen today that he is truly reaping his rewards.
The best thing about him is that he has an incredibly positive mindset and he never gives up. I hope that I too, grow up with such values embedded within me, so that I can make new discoveries and breakthroughs in science. Above all, I hope that I will be truly satisfied throughout my life. Roger Federer is a living testimony for that, as well.
